February is a big month for me. . .

We visited some fabulous friends up in the beautiful town of Swan Valley.

I have packed my bags and am headed out tomorrow to Santa Barbara for a photo workshop with a photographer I have looked up to for YEARS!!

Then the following week I am off to Vegas for the HUGE WPPI convention (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) where I will have workshops, classes, and the huge trade show, not to mention that our good friends from North Dakota will be flying in and visiting to hang out! HERE I COME VEGAS!

The last week of February things will settle down for me.

So if you are trying to get a hold of me, I am just giving you a heads up that it is a crazy month for me, but I will get back to you as soon as possible!!!!

OK, So this is actually supposed to be really funny! We saw these little hat things at Petsmart and started laughing. We were thinking about how ridiculous they would look on our dogs, and I am pretty sure we proved our point! Who buys these for their animals - FOR REALS, because we did it as a joke. My dog Pilot, on the right, seriously looks like the dog off of the grinch who stole christmas with antlers strapped to his head. At any rate, we are in the midst of the holidays, and I LOVE THEM. So i hope all of you are enjoying yours.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these pictures and even more I love this family. This is one of my good old friends families and it was so strange to see everyone, only because I remember them all being SO much younger! Crazy. They are the best family and I have always looked up to them, so I am super glad I got to take their pictures and see them all! Jake I hope you appreciate your solo shot is up first :)

So I wanted to share a few of my recent favorites along with letting everyone know about the big event I am shooting on Thursday (actually friday at midnight for black friday) South Towne Mall has started their own black friday tradition where they open the doors at midnight so people can get SUPER deals inside at every store. They also offer a pajama lounge which is for the select few that purchase $25 or more while wearing pajamas and show their receipt in time to be let in. They have FM 100 there with a live band, hot chocolate stand, and super awesome deals. So any of you that are sick of the fist fights at Wal-Mart, head over to South Towne Mall and try out this black friday special!!!

For all of my friends that have kids, THIS IS THE PLACE TO TAKE YOUR KIDS TO SEE SANTA. I was asked to be the event photographer for the ribbon cutting of Santas Tracking Station. They have been working on this project for 2 years, and it was time well spent. Super interactive, bright colors, lots of little things for kids to play with, and best of all they get their picture taken with santa on a FABULOUS little green love seat! Be Sure to Check it Out!

So I have been going 100 million miles an hour the past three weeks with photo shoots and editing and today I finally feel like I can breathe! I am totally caught up and AHEAD, thats right, AHEAD of schedule right now. Wonder how long this will last. After editing all of the Callahan Family I had to post this picture because I just love the catch light! They all look so happy and I totally know why, its because they are all looking at Nicole. Today I had the pleasure of shooting someone very important to me. This is my mom and she is fighting breast cancer for the second time. I was timid to ask her about this photo shoot because I thought that her answer would be no. Without hesitation, she was willing. She is so supportive of my creativity and I owe her lots. So much of me stems from who she is and how she raised me. I think she is beautiful. Inside and Out!
